About
Planning for birth and postpartum can feel like a whirlwind. Home birth or hospital? Epidural or unmedicated? Lactation consultant, formula, or both? And what the heck is a rebozo, anyway? There’s a lot to navigate, and the truth is—there’s no one right way to do this. At Honey Yoga, we don’t care what choices you make—we just want you to feel supported, informed, and confident as you make them.
Enter: Meet the Doula Night. A fun, interactive, and zero-pressure event where you can connect with local doulas—non-medical professionals who provide continuous support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Ask questions and explore how doulas can guide you, not medically, but emotionally, physically, and informationally, to feel empowered every step of the way. Think of it as speed dating, but for finding the right support team.
Bring your curiosity, an open mind, and get ready for an evening of great conversation, warm vibes, and helpful insights to make your journey into parenthood feel that much smoother.
What to Expect
- Quick meet & greet: Rotate through short sessions with each doula, asking key questions about their experience, philosophy, and services
- Comfortable & relaxed: Enjoy light refreshments and an informal setting designed to help you connect naturally
- We’ll connect you after: You can take notes while you’re chatting to remember the doulas names, and then afterwards we’ll send you all their info so you don’t need to worry about transcribing numbers and emails! Just remember the name of you want to connect further with and you’ll be able to match it with their info after
- Post-date mingling: After the speed rounds, mingle freely to reconnect with any doulas who you vibed with or anyone you might have follow-up questions for

Doula FAQ
Are Doulas necessary when having hospital births/epidurals?
Will my husband/support person still be able to support me if I hire a doula?
What’s the difference between a doula and a midwife?
Great question! A midwife is a medical professional trained to provide prenatal care, deliver babies, and handle medical aspects of childbirth. A doula, on the other hand, is a non-medical support person who focuses on emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth. While midwives handle clinical care, doulas are there to ensure you feel empowered, comforted, and heard throughout your journey. Many people choose to have both!
